Iceland’s President Wants To Ban Pineapple On Pizza.
Apparently, the president recently visited a school in the town of Akureyri in northern Iceland.
A former history professor himself, he chatted to the students about the history of the school and important alumni who had an impact on Icelandic history.
Then the conversation moved on to more personal topics, Iceland Magazine reports, with one pupil asking if the president was a fan of pineapple as a pizza topping.
President Johannesson said he was fundamentally opposed to putting pineapple on top of a pizza.
Then he went even further, telling the audience that, if he had the power, he would pass a law banning pineapple on pizza.

Das MMM Corones ist das sechste und letzte Museum von Reinhold Messner. „Das Thema ist der Fels und die großen Waende; das urspruengliche, traditionelle Bergsteigen soll hier wieder auferstehen. Aus dem Ladinischen uebersetzt bedeutet Corones „die Krone“. Der Kronplatz – der beruehmte Ski- und Wanderberg, der Gipfel der Drachen- und Gleitschirmflieger – beherbergt nun das Highlight meiner Bergmuseen: Einen Ort der Stille, der Entschleunigung und unvergessener Ausblicke. Die Berge werden zum Erfahrungsraum, Teil unserer Kultur. Im Geistesflug über alle Gipfel hinweg gilt es sie neu wahrzunehmen“, so Messner. Als seinen 15. Achttausender bezeichnet Messner selbst das Projekt Messner Mountain Museum, „das Messner Mountain Museum ist eine Begegnungsstätte mit dem Berg, mit den Berg-Menschen und letztlich auch mit uns selbst.“ Das Museum Corones ist zu einem grossen Teil unterirdisch in mehreren Ebenen angelegt, weshalb mit 1.000 Quadratmetern nur eine vergleichsweise geringe Flaeche bebaut wurde. 4.000 Kubikmeter Erde mussten bewegt werden. Dank der unterirdischen Bauweise wird das Museum im Sommer wie im Winter ein konstantes Temperatur-Niveau halten und somit energieeffizient sein. Die Architektur ist einzigartig. Waende, Decken, sowie auch von aussen sichtbare, architektonische Elemente wie der Eingangsbereich, die Panoramaterrasse sowie die Panoramafenster wurden mit speziellen Fertigbetonteilen verkleidet. Die Herstellungsweise ist sehr innovativ: mit doppelt gekruemmten Geometrien - an der Grenze des Machbaren.
